View and edit option costs

Providers can change the prices on the options they offer. If you have an option where the provider has increased or decreased the price, and this option is assigned to many services, there are 2 ways to change the option's price in Cimpl:

  • Options Management: If an option is not part of a contract, but assigned to random lines, use Options Management.‍
  • Service Contracts: If an options is a part of a contract.

Tip: In the Options Management section, you can see if the same option is charged at different costs for the same provider. If this is found, contact your provider to adjust the charges, and claim a credit if applicable.

Edit option costs from Options Management:

  1. Go to Configuration > Administration > Options Management.
  2. Click the name of the option from the options list. The option’s record contains:
    • Option Name
    • Provider
    • Service Type
    • Cost
    • Revised Cost (field)
    • A full list of all services which have the option assigned
  3. Enter a Revised Cost.
  4. Select the services who is affected by this price revision (you must select at least one service).
  5. Click Apply to save changes or Cancel to exit and discard your changes.

Note: You can only update costs in this section. To remove options from a service, you will need to go to the Inventory Management section. Look up the Service ID and go to "Options" to remove the particular option.

Edit Options cost from Service Contracts‍:

  1. Go to Configuration > Administration > Service Contracts.
  2. Select the plan with the option that needs to be changed.
  3. Click Included Options.
  4. Select the option needing the price change.
  5. Update Revised Cost field.
  6. Click Apply to save your changes.
